Now is a great time to get involved in Sandwell Borough of Sanctuary.

The group and our objectives are taking shape so we need voices from across Sandwell now to truly represent all of the geographies, communities, sectors and experiences of this amazing borough, to join the dots between people and organisations who are welcoming refugees, asylum seekers and immigrants in our neighbourhoods.

Your pledge will show your support for the aims of the Borough of Sanctuary, share what kind of support you would like to give, and get you connected into the network.

There are many ways to offer support including:

• Encourage your organisation – workplace, club, religious organisation or
  other group – to sign up to support Sandwell Borough of Sanctuary.
• Invite other organisations from your networks in Sandwell to do the same.
• Join the steering group to feed into developing an initial strategy for the
  Sandwell Borough of Sanctuary.
• Invite an asylum seeker or refugee to come to speak to an organisation or to
  a group of organisations in your area.
• Arrange workshops, talks and social or cultural events raising awareness of
  asylum and refugee issues.
• Publicise City of Sanctuary, Sandwell Borough of Sanctuary Refugee Week
  and other refugee events within your community.
• Host drop-in sessions and welcoming activities for people seeking sanctuary.
• Volunteer, donate and fundraise for organisations that support asylum
  seekers, refugees and new arrivals.
